We have tried to show that the US media often neglect to cover
international news in a way most Americans find useful. We have
also suggested that when they do cover other countries, they
often focus only on certain types of events and fail to provide
the kind of background information that most Americans say they
need in order to understand them.
We've also shown you some ways to identify where particular
news articles are published, so when you do search for news,
you can get articles from different countries around the world.
In the next module, you will learn how to use the library and
the Internet to find news on particular topics from sources
beyond the US media.
