The Global News VILLAGE will help you to broaden your knowledge
of current events and issues important to people around the
world. You'll discover how to use the library to find and critically
analyze news articles from sources beyond the major US media
companies. You'll then be able to incorporate the perspectives
of people from a wider range of experiences, cultures, and geographic
locations into your understanding of global issues.
This VILLAGE is divided into three modules. They work best
if you do all of them in order, but they are all designed to
make sense on their own.

Module 1 addresses the
question of why it's important to get international news from
sources beyond the US media.
Module 2 will show you
how to use the library and the Internet to find news produced
around the world.
Module 3 will introduce
you to some ways you can critically analyze the news you find.
