The summer reading challenge begins May 27th! Be sure to register ASAP so you don’t miss an update from library staff on all the fun things ahead.



Uni High Reads blog features book reviews written by Uni students and library staff. Reach out to a staff member if you would like to contribute!


Novelist Plus provides information on books and authors including reviews, read-alikes, book lists and book discussion guides.


Book Riot YA News is a website that gathers all the latest information on what’s happening in the young adult literature community.


The Goodreads Choice Awards is an annual book competition, with the winners voted on by readers and members of Goodreads!

 

Check out 2023’s two Young Adult winners in Fiction and Fantasy & Science Fiction.



For Instagram users, check out @reading_rants_redux. Run by Jen Hubert Swan, this Gen-X Librarian reviews YA books and posts photos from bookish adventures. This account also revitalizes old reviews from (now defunct but still navigable) Reading Rants – a website featuring out of the ordinary booklists for teens.



 
The Lincoln Award nominees is a list of 20 high-quality, high-interest books selected by a committee of Illinois high school librarians, teachers, public librarians, and students. Students who read 4 or more titles from this list are eligible to vote for their favorite.

 

If you are interested in participating in the 2025 Award Year, be sure to register by January 15th, 2025. Voting will take place between February 15 and March 15, 2025.
