Register here for the 2024 Summer Reading Challenge from May 27th- August 2nd. The instructions are simple:

To participate in the reading challenge, we ask that you complete one BINGO from the card provided. When you finish, fill out and submit the digital reading log on this Google form. You may also submit a photo/scan of your marked card to Harrison at price26@illinois.edu. All bingo cards must be submitted by August 2nd at 11:59pm to qualify.

When you complete the challenge, you will win a pack of bookish stickers!*
Participants who complete the challenge will also be automatically entered into a raffle to win an extra prize.* The raffle winner will be chosen and contacted on August 5th.
You can earn additional raffle tickets by:
- Attending programs.
- Check out our calendar and social media for dates and program details as they’re announced.
- Writing a book review that will be featured in next year’s newsletters or on the Uni High Reads Blog.
- Completing the weekly or summer-long BINGO challenges.

What if I just want to read books, and not bother with the bingo card?
We love that you want to read! You will have to complete a BINGO to win a prize/be entered into the raffle. However, we’d love to talk about what you’ve read when you return in the Fall.
Okay, well how do I “get” a BINGO?
We will accept these patterns as BINGO winners.
Can I use the same book for more than one square?
Each square must be completed by a unique title. (No doubling up!!!)
What if I complete two (or three or four or…) BINGOs? Can I earn extra prizes?
We will only award ONE sticker pack prize per participant. If you would like additional entries into our raffles, be sure to attend events and complete BINGO challenges.
Does [book I read] count for [prompt on the card]?
Probably! It’s honor system, really, so it’s up to you. We do ask that the books you read be middle grade level and up. However, all types of books are on the table – graphic novels, manga, nonfiction, audiobooks….the literary world is your oyster!
What if I’m a senior? Can I still enter?
Yes! You can either arrange to pick up prizes before you leave town, if you’re leaving, or we can make arrangements with your family. Reading is good for you after you graduate too. 🙂
