Connect to RBML
The service provides thumb print security via the RBML server using Bioscrypt FingerPrint Readers and University ID card access via Facilities Proxy card system to restricted areas of RBML.

This service provides restricted access to the RBML and to the vault via UI card reader and thumb print scanner. Kantech’s access control system integrates with biometrics industry leader L1’s “Bioscrypt” brand – to confirm the identity of the person trying to gain access to a protected area
When is this service available
This service is typically expected to be available at all times, but may only be supported 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Priority level for this service
RBML is supported whenever main library location is open. Support staff are on call to address issues.
We make every effort to notify the vendor of outages as quickly as possible. Library IT then monitors the situation until resolved.
How to report a problem
If RBML is down, please log a ticket with the IT Help Desk or call the Help Desk at 244-4688. Incoming tickets and calls are reviewed and prioritized as they arrive between 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Who can use this service
Access is granted and revoked through the Head of the Rare Book and Manuscript Library.
