Africana Film Database is under a standard availability commitment, meaning problems with the database are dealt with during normal business hours (Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m.).

How to report a problem

If Africana Film Database is down or not responding to search requests, please log a ticket with the IT Help Desk or call the Help Desk at 244-4688. Incoming tickets and calls are reviewed and prioritized as they arrive between 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Tickets or calls coming in after hours are reviewed promptly on the next business day.

Who can use this service

Africana Film Database is available world-wide to all users.

Library staff authorized by the African Studies Bibliographer can update the bibliographic data in the database.

What you must have to use this service

To use Africana Film Database you must have a computer with an internet connection and a web browser.

To update the database you need access to the Access front-end and AD permissions to modify the bibliographic information.

Service Owners

The primary service owner is the African Studies Bibliographer (Al Kagan). The African Studies Bibliographer is responsible for the bibliographic information in the database.

Library IT Infrastructure Support and Management supports Africana Film Database.
