To create a filter in a WebMail account:
- Log into your account through the web interface.
- Click the Options link near the top-center of the browser window.
- Click Message Filters in the right-hand column.
- Click New, under ‘What to Scan.’
- Create your filter with the settings that are common to the spam you receive or messages you wish to filter.A few examples:
- If you no longer wish to receive messages from a certain sender:
- Match: From
- Contains: Sender’s e-mail address
- Move to: Junk
- If you don’t wish to receive messages regarding certain topics:
- Match: Subject
- Contains: Home Loans
- Move to: Junk
- If you wish to automatically move messages to a specific folder:
- Match: From
- Contains: Sender’s e-mail address
- Move to: Forums (the name of a folder in your account)
- Click Submit after each filter is created.
- Repeat steps 4-6 until you have created all the filters you need.
- Click Done.
