Take Us to School! Resources for Student Teachers
This site, compiled and hosted by the Social Sciences, Health, and Education Library (SSHEL), is designed to serve the unique needs of student teachers in the state of Illinois, particularly the approximately 1,100 University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign undergraduates who are student teaching each year. In a library system as large as the University of Illinois’, it can sometimes be difficult to find the right resources, so we have made every effort to compile, in one place, information that will be useful for student teachers, from finding lesson plans to borrowing books at local libraries to conducting education research.
Although many of the resources linked to on these pages require a login to verify University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign affiliation, there are also links to a number of high-quality free websites that can be used by anyone. If you are a student at a university other than Illinois, your academic library probably provides access to most of the databases listed on these pages.
If you have any comments or questions about this site, or suggestions for additions, we would love to hear from you! You can contact us here.
