Today we kick off our weekly Foto Fridays on the Sousa Archives Facebook page at 10AM (Central Time) with a funny photograph of Paul Martin Zonn and Phil Musser clowning around in the University of Illinois Experimental Music Studio in the 1970s. This image is from the Paul Martin Zonn Music and Papers, which documents the life and career of one of the University of Illinois’ leading composers between 1970 and 1995. Zonn was best known to his music colleagues for his work as an experimental clarinetist, composer, conductor, and educator as well as being a gourmet chef with a great sense of humor.
So join the Sousa Archives each Friday morning for unusual visual highlights from our unique historical collections at the Sousa Archives and Center for American Music.
