The category of materials collectively summed up under the name government publications is extremely broad and one could even possibly call it nebulous. Thus, this section cannot be viewed as exhaustive, given the myriad documents generated by the government. For information regarding biographical information regarding Polish statesmen refer to the section of this guide titled, Contemporary Polish Political Biography.
While writing this section a very useful guide to the sources on the Polish government of the 19th and 20th centuries (up to 1945) was consulted:

The goal of this database is presenting historical documentation of the parliamentary activities from the period of the Second Republic (1919-1939).
The database contains three types of documents: printed materials, interpellations (questions posed to the government), and session transcripts. It allows accessing the actual document images. The database is being updated continually, dependent on the progress of digitalization of the materials of Biblioteka Sejmowa.
The document entries contain: number of the document, number of the parliament, title, as well as a scanned image of the document. The number of prints listed is 10,057, which is the complete set of publications of the Parliament of the 5th term.
Transcript records contain number and date of the session, the agenda, the list of interpellations (cross referenced to their written records), as well as the image of the shorthand transcript. At this time there is a total of 1037 stenographic transcripts, the complete number for the 5th term of Congress.
Rules and regulations of the Parliament.
These contain the number of the Parliament, the title of the regulation and a scanned image. Records of the interpelations are treated more in depth. Besides the number and title, they also contain information on the authors and addessees of the queries. Their contents are characterized using the descriptive terms of the STEBIS thesauruses. The records are cross-referenced to the corresponding stenographic records. The database includes 10,905 recors, with 2652 scanned images attached.
Recordings of the parliamentary sessions (databse POS01 ) – one of the databases of the Biblioteka Sejmowa)

This database registers information on the video recordings of the parliamentary sessions of the Polish Congress (beginning with its 3rd term). The recordings from the current term are housed and available in the Mediateka of the Biblioteka Sejmowa.
Legislation
Texts of the constitutions and other documents (TEK01) (One of the databases of the Parliamentary library).

The database includes, among others, texts of all Polish constitutions (including their English versions). In the case the three oldest constitutions (1791, 1807, 1815) – the user can access the images of the documents found in the collection of the Muzeum Sejmu Polskiego (Wydział Muzealiów Biblioteki Sejmowej).
Online Information on Law – database Internetowy System Aktów Prawnych – ISAP (Also: Internetowy System Informacji Prawnej)
The database provides description of the legislative documents published in Dziennik Ustaw 1918-1939 and after 1944, as well as those listed in Monitor Polski 1930-1939 and after 1944 (database of the Kancelaria Sejmu RP) including full text in PDF format. All forms of legislation are published in electronic format on the basis of a decree ofza February 17th, 2005.
The available text is shown in the form in which it was announced on the day it was adopted and prepared in the Kancelaria Sejmu. Also shown is the electronic version submitted to the Dziennik Ustaw or Monitor Polski, as well the final text with possible changes, prepared in the Biuro Legislacyjne Kancelarii Sejmu.
Documents included in the database can be viewed by date (beginning with the most recent) and within the chronological listing they are shown by subject (or importance) of given legislation.
Clicking on “Wyszukiwanie” in the main menu brings up a search form. The form gives an option of searching for all legislation, or just for those laws that are currently in power. The form gives a wide range of options of searching by year and number of bill. It is also possible to conduct keyword searches in the name of the legislation. Word separated by a space are automatically searched using the Boolean operator AND in the Subject (Hasła) and Names (Nazwy). Multiple terms entered in the field Type (Rodzaj) are automatically linked by the Boolean operator OR.
To search by phrase, it is necessary to put the search string in quotation marks. The star asterisk — * — act as a truncation mark, allowing to search bypassing the complexities of Polish morphology.
Wykonywanie prawa UE w ustawodawstwie polskim (database UST01).
This database shows the European Union laws reflected in Polish legislature enacted by the Polish parliament. The database contains records of Polish and EU acts of law which are interconnected. Listed are also the description of the first draft of the law (used during the legislative process), and also the description of the law approved by the Sejm, intended to put into life the law of the European Union. The following documents are entered into the database:
- Proposed government legislation, which have been declared by Rada Ministrów as fulfilling the legislative requirements of the European Union (art. 95a ust. 2 Regulaminu Sejmu)
- Regulation other than governmental, which have been deemed by Marszałek Sejmu as fulfilling the legislative requirements of the European Union(art. 95a ust. 3 Regulaminu Sejmu).
It is necessary to note that after the law passes, the description of the item contains information identifying the printed version of the proposed law (number of the publication, proposing legislator).
The database contains information on the EU laws which are connected with the legislation.
