The Slavic Reference Service provides year-round support for scholars working in Russian, East European, and Eurasian Studies. In addition to handling reference questions, we host or help organize a number of programs and workshops, many of which are geared in particular towards PhD students and early career scholars, including: annual forums on the Baltics, Central Asia, and the Caucasus; the Research and Language Learning workshops; workshops and consultations on publishing in REEES; the Dmytro Shtohryn International Ukrainian Studies Conference; and more.
While we are fortunate to receive partial funding from the government through the Title VIII Program, this support alone is not sufficient to cover the breadth of programming we offer. To sustain and expand our initiatives, we also rely on additional private donations.
If you have benefitted from our services or wish to support our many initiatives, you can make a donation to the Slavic Reference Service through the Library’s Office of Advancement.
How to Donate
Go to the Library’s Office of Advancement homepage, and select the “Make Your Gift” button at the top.
Select “Slavic and East European Library” under the dropdown menu. (Please note these are not in alphabetical order)
Fill out all necessary information on the second page; and under “Additional Information” make a note that this is for the Slavic Reference Service, for the Mary Zirin Fund.
We appreciate your support!
