Advanced Renamer

Advanced Renamer is one of the three renaming softwares we use to rename files and folders. As of July, 2020, it is only available for PCs.

How to rename:

1. Open Advanced Renamer and change whether you would like to rename files or folders.
2. Add a method in the “Renaming method list.” Some common methods we use is “remove”, “renumber”, “replace” and “add”; although you may use other methods.
   
3. You can change where you would like the renaming method to apply.
4. As an example, here is what it will look like when you remove BidIDs from file names.
   1. Add the files by dragging and dropping them into Advanced Renamer.
   2. A sample of the new file names will be displayed and you can adjust the “remove count” to reflect where you would like to begin removing information from the file name.
   3. You can stack several “methods”!
   4. Once you are happy with the new filename, click “Start Batch” to rename the files!
