The following information refers to loan periods for items in the Music & Performing Arts Library’s collections. Undergraduate Students, Staff, & Other Patrons with Valid ID
- Books, Scores, CDs, DVDs, LPs, and Microfilm: 4 weeks, 10 renewals
- Ask staff at the service desk to retrieve media items and microfilm
- A small collection of LPs located in Special Collections are in library use only
- Course Reserves: 2 hours in Library, $5/hour overdue fine
- Ask at the service desk to retrieve item(s)
- Limit 4 items at a time
- Loanable Technology: see the Loanable Technology page for details about loan periods for specific item types
- Reference, Ready Reference, Periodicals, and Special Collections materials (includes all formats): In Library Use Only
- Ask staff at the service desk to retrieve items from Ready Reference and Special Collections
Graduate Students & Faculty
- Books, Scores, CDs, DVDs, LPs, and Microfilm: 16 weeks, 10 renewals
- Ask staff at the service desk to retrieve media items and microfilm
- A small collection of LPs located in Special Collections are in library use only
- Course Reserves: course instructors can request extended loan periods, otherwise 2 hours in Library, $5/hour overdue fine
- Ask staff at the service desk to retrieve item(s)

I-Share & Interlibrary Loan Patrons

- CDs and DVDs can be borrowed by I-Share and Interlibrary Loan (ILL) patrons
- LPs do not circulate beyond the Urbana-Champaign campus and a small collection of LPs located in Special Collections are in library use only
