Description
Emphasis upon vocal music including art songs and opera. Total of 1,588 items, including 516 78-rpm records, 195 LPs, and several tape recordings. Printed materials include songs, anthologies, methods, and books. Clippings relating to her professional career at the University of Illinois and elsewhere, as well as concert programs, reviews of her own and her students’ performances, and 8″x10″ photographs of Bowen and of other concert artists (some autographed) have been moved from her Collections File folder to the Sousa Archives (see finding aid below)
Arrangement
Published recordings integrated into holdings at UI Press Building basement, which as of 2019 have been donated to the Internet Archives for digitization. Printed materials unprocessed as of 2001. (In labeled boxes/shelves)
