The Menard Time has been published by the Correctional Center in Menard, Illinois since 1934.
The Prison Philosopher was a column published in the Menard Time.

Ashley Public Library, located in Washington County, houses the only known collection of the Ashley News. The INP borrowed this collection for microfilming.

Several issues of the Chicago Record were donated to the University of Illinois Library. Donor found the issues stuck behind a mirror on a dresser when he started refurbishing it.

Columbia Public Library in Monroe County. We borrowed the Columbia Star and the Monroe County Clarion for microfilming.

The Morrison-Talbott Library in Waterloo, Illinois (Monroe County). We borrowed the Clarion Journal for microfilming. They also gathered issues of the Monroe County Independent from the local publisher so we could microfilm a complete collection.
