University Archives (Processing Assistant) – Student Hourly

University Archives seeks a student to assist with processing analog and digital records, and assistance with reference, creating exhibits, oral histories, and any additional needs for archival collection care and outreach. The student will work with the Archivist for Multicultural Collections and Services.

Requirements

  • Conduct Research on relevant projects
  • Process analog and digital records
  • Assist with reference
  • Assist with exhibits
  • Commitment of 10 hours per week
  • Ability to work Independently
  • Must be able to lift 30lbs or more

Preferred

  • Experience or coursework in history, archives, and special collections
  • Research experience in archives
  • Exhibit experience

Schedule

Hours can be scheduled any time during the open hours of the Archives Research Center (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:30-12:00 and 1:00-5:000 and Wednesday from 10:00-12:00 and 1:00-5:00).

Location

Students will work at the Archives Research Center in the Horticulture Field Lab at the corner of Florida and Orchard, and may do some work at the University Archives in the Main Library.
